•
•  Why have a standardized set of measures?
•
•  What are the measures, how selected?
•
•  How will the measures be used and reported?
•
•  What trainings, TA are available?
These are questions to be addressed today
Why? --- Need to document value of growing HC program; explosion of quality initiatives; process and outcome links to reimbursement
What? --- Small set; 2 existing (prenatal access, LBW), 4 new (childhood immunizations, Pap, diabetes, blood pressure); across lifecycle, including disparities; aligned to HRSA and national standards
How used? --- UDS and SAC/BPR aligned; aggregate used for OMB, GPRA reporting, HC specific for quality improvement. Intent that you own measures, report to them, and that they’re meaningful to you.
Extensive trainings are planned throughout the year; working with PCAs to make sure you get needed TA; more on this later today.
Now turn over to Charles Daly who will present the clinical measures
