About the Planning Grants in High Poverty Counties Competition
The goal of the President's High Poverty Counties Initiative is to increase access to primary health care in the Nation's poorest counties that can support a comprehensive health center. High poverty county planning grants will support the planning and development activities essential to establishing a full-time health center service delivery site for the provision of comprehensive primary and preventive health care services to underserved communities and populations located in one of the 200 eligible high poverty counties.
Eligibility
Eligibility for Planning Grants in High Poverty Counties is limited to the 200 eligible high poverty counties that have been determined using two cohorts and represent counties with no section 330 grantee site and a high percent of people living below 200% of the Federal poverty level.
