2012 National Health IT Week

National Health Information Technology (Health IT) Week was held from September 10th-14th. In observance of the week, HRSA highlighted the importance of efficient information systems that protect the privacy and security of personal health information while improving the delivery of health care in the United States.

Through knowledge-sharing webinars and grantee spotlights, HRSA helps safety net providers overcome barriers, including maximizing return-on-investment, ensuring patient privacy, and detailing opportunities for workforce training.

In the last three years, HRSA has produced over 35 webinars, attracting over 30,000 people both live and online.

HRSA’s webinars are technical assistance webcasts for safety net providers who are using or planning to use Health IT for improving the quality of patient care. Each webinar features experts with hands-on experience from within the safety net community.
