Interoperability Basics Training Course
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) released the first of five Interoperability Training Modules for Meaningful Use Stage 2. The training is available at: http://www.healthit.gov/providers-professionals/interoperability-basics-training-course
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions discusses the intersection of HIE, behavioral health, and primary care. New HRSA Grantee Spotlights
The latest spotlight on the HRSA Health IT website features the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin (ARCW) and its AIDS/HIV Medical Home Model of Care. The spotlight also discusses the role of ARCW’s population health management tool.
The new quality spotlight highlights the collaborative quality improvement activities underway at the Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance under a cooperative agreement with the HRSA Healthcare Systems Bureau.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) post interactive Stage 2 Toolkit
This toolkit for Eligible Professionals (EPs), eligible hospitals, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) includes materials on Stage 2 and the 2014 clinical quality measure (CQM) requirements.
Access additional EHR Incentive Program educational resources from CMS
TXT4Tots message library now available in English and Spanish
Developed under a cooperative agreement between HRSA and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), TXT4Tots is a library of short, evidence-based messages focused on nutrition and physical activity targeted to parents and caregivers of children, ages 1-5 years. The library is designed as a resource for a wide variety of existing public and private programs that serve parents, caregivers, and child advocates including health providers.
CMS provides two free ICD-10 video lectures and an expert article to assist physicians and health care providers in transitioning to ICD-10. Continuing medical education (CME) credits are available for physicians who complete the module, and anyone who completes the module will receive a certificate of completion.
Other HHS Information and Resources
CMS recently launched its dedicated CMS eHealth website and listserv , providing information for providers and others on implementation, guidance, milestones, and critical steps for ICD-10, EHRs, and meaningful use, operating standards, electronic quality measurement, and payment models.
CMS will hold its Fifth Annual Multi-State Medicaid HITECH Conference on May 21-23, 2013.
The meeting will be held at the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD and focus on the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, Health Information Technology, Health Information Exchange, and other related topics. Attendance is free.
