How can Practice Management Systems facilitate quality reporting?
Quality reporting capabilities are a key part of practice management systems. All practice management systems are going to be capable of generating basic reports, but may not be customizable to create more in depth reports. However, some systems are capable of accommodating more complex reporting needs. More sophisticated systems have “reporting wizards” which help to create customized reports. Some systems utilize dashboards for user ease, and can export reports to programs such as Microsoft Excel. A recent development in systems is the ability to store data in relationship databases that third party reporting tools can access directly. This feature makes reporting requirements, such as UDS, easier for clinics.
