How do I test that the system is able to generate the reports that I need?
Before go-live, it is important to test the system’s ability to generate reports. Run a pilot test using existing data or input test data, and transport the test data to run reports. Check that the formatting of the test data appears properly on all reports produced. If errors in the forms are identified, work with the IT director to assure these are corrected before go-live. Involve clinicians and other staff who will use the system to assure the measures provide reports that will help them reach their quality improvement goals.
