How will our project relate and comply with regulatory requirements?

Most health care providers are well aware of regulatory and accreditation requirements associated with providing health care. Compliance with privacy and security is a priority at the start of all health IT project. In particular, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and its associated rules must be taken into account.
