DRAFT VISION STATEMENTS

CONNECTICUT

Our vision is that all adults and children in Connecticut live in safe, decent and affordable housing, have access to culturally appropriate services needed to live productive lives, and have enough income to support themselves and their families in dignity.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To improve the quality of life of all of the residents of the District of Columbia by ending homelessness within ten years.

IDAHO

To eliminate and prevent homelessness in Idaho through awareness, collaboration, and access to housing and services.

NEBRASKA

Nebraska will be a place where every person that is homeless or is in danger of becoming homeless has a place to call home and a community that supports their well-being.

NEVADA

We envision a state where:

  • The causes, challenges, and consequences of homelessness are understood by all;
  • Government and private programs work together to encourage, facilitate and sufficiently fund comprehensive, collaborative, humane, and culturally appropriate services;
  • A seamless continuum of mainstream and targeted services tailored to the needs of each individual is easily accessible;
  • Realistic levels of personal and familial responsibility, stability, and self-sufficiency are attainable by all; and
  • Everyone has stable, safe, sanitary and affordable housing.

OKLAHOMA

All stakeholders work together to ensure that all persons in Oklahoma have access to safe, permanent housing and an array of comprehensive supportive services to reduce and prevent homelessness.

OREGON

All people in Oregon have the opportunity to make choices to be at home in their communities and be physically, emotionally and economically healthy.

VIRGINIA

An integrated, community-based system of opportunities, services and housing has ended homelessness in Virginia.

WYOMING

In Wyoming, everyone has a home and access to a comprehensive, person-focused network of supports and services that prevent and eliminate homelessness.
