Purpose of module:

• Explain how a patient and her health care provider use each Guide

• Explain the importance of different sections and questions in each Guide

• Introduce the companion materials

Speaker Notes:

The purpose of this module is to introduce the Guides to you and discuss how they can be best used in clinical settings that implement the Guides, and their companion materials, for both young and adult women.

Specifically, this module will:

• Explain how you and your patients can use the Guides

• Explain the importance of different sections and questions in each of the Guides

• Introduce the companion materials

The module will use the Guide for Adult Women as a model. It will take you through the Guide and explain where it differs from the Guide for Young Women.

We'll start by talking about the purpose of the Guide and your role. Then we'll move on to looking at the sections in the Guide.
