What is the program?
This program increases the number and quality of preventive medicine residents and physicians. This will support access to preventive medicine to improve the health of communities.
Are you eligible?
Entities eligible to apply for this grant program are:
- an accredited school of public health or school of medicine or osteopathic medicine;
- an accredited public or private nonprofit hospital;
- a state, local or tribal health department; or
- a consortium of two or more eligible entities as described above.
Preventive medicine residency programs must be accredited by ACGME or the AOA. You must submit an official letter from the appropriate accrediting body to us with the application. It must include the approved accreditation status of the program with the beginning and ending dates of the current accreditation.
