The Rural Residency Planning and Development – Technical Assistance Center (RRPD—TAC) provides technical assistance, information, tools and resources to help grow graduate medical education programs in rural America and subsequently strengthen the rural physician workforce. It brings together experts in all aspects of rural residency development including accreditation, financing, resident recruitment and training, and faculty recruitment and development. The center is structured so that each state is associated with one of three regional hubs (central, eastern, and western), and will provide assistance to future Rural Residency Planning and Development (RRPD) grantees and may provide assistance to other entities interested in developing rural residencies.
