American Indian/Alaska Native Health

Regional Offices

HRSA's 10 regional offices work directly with Indian Health Service (IHS) Area Offices and Tribal entities to reduce the burden of disease and improve the health of American Indian/Alaska Native people.

Regional offices can help Tribal organizations by providing

  • Application support, including seminars and peer-to-peer technical assistance in writing grant applications, applying for shortage designation and recruiting National Health Service Corps clinicians;
  • Enrollment outreach for Medicaid, Medicare and the Children's Health Insurance Program; and
  • Quality improvement assistance.
