National Rural Health Day

November 17, 2016

Each year on the third Thursday of November the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy joins its partner, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH), to celebrate rural communities and bring to light the unique healthcare challenges they face.

Throughout the Day, NOSORH will host a series of web sessions with valuable insights and data about the current state of rural health. Register now for NOSORH Events.

At 2:30 pm ET, join us for a live webcast demonstration of telehealth capabilities (no registration required) in rural South Dakota. HHS Acting Deputy Secretary Dr. Mary Wakefield will speak about how this technology will bring greater access to health care for 19 Great Plains Area service units in the IHS.
