The Advisory Committee on Interdisciplinary, Community-Based Linkages (ACICBL) has up to 12 members who are appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Members serve a three-year term. By legislation and Charter, our membership must include health professionals from urban and rural areas. We must also have an adequate number of women and minority members.

Are you eligible?

We have 12 members who are appointed by the HHS Secretary for up to three years. The HHS Secretary will appoint health professionals from schools described in PHS Act sections 751(b)(1)(A), 753(b), and 755(b).

The HHS Secretary ensures fair representation across health professions. At least 75% of members are health professionals serving both urban and rural communities, and appointments include a balance of women and minority members.
