The Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) are committed to addressing organ allocation out of OPTN sequence (AOOS) in order to protect public trust, ensure adherence to OPTN policies, increase fairness, and uphold patient safety.
