Seeking Volunteers for Open Positions on OPTN Committees

Interested in playing a role in advancing and strengthening the nation’s organ donation, procurement, and transplantation system? The OPTN is currently seeking nominations for individuals to serve on OPTN committees, with 144 positions available across committees.

Serving on an OPTN committee is a meaningful opportunity to contribute expertise, perspective, and lived experience to work that shapes policy and practice across the donation, procurement, and transplant community. Committee members are volunteers representing a broad range of professional disciplines, backgrounds, and experiences in organ donation and transplantation. The OPTN is committed to maintaining a committee system that reflects balanced, representative viewpoints in service of the donation, procurement, and transplantation community.

Committee appointments are two- or three-year terms, depending on the committee.

How to Apply

Please complete the online Committee Volunteer Interest Form by March 16, 2026, to be considered for a committee position. If you completed a volunteer interest form on or after February 1, 2025, and are interested in being considered for current vacancies, please contact OPTNBoardSupport@air.org.
