RCORP-Overdose Response

The purpose of RCORP-Overdose Response is to address immediate needs in rural areas by improving access to, capacity for, and sustainability of prevention, treatment, and recovery services for substance use disorder (SUD).

To achieve the purpose of the RCORP-Overdose Response program, award recipients help reduce and prevent the risk of overdoses by completing at least one of nine core activities. Some award recipients also support capacity building, supportive services, or address the needs of populations who lack access to health care. RCORP-Overdose Response award recipients have a one-year period of performance.
