Who can apply: Eligible applicants include entities eligible for funding under RWHAP Parts A - D of Title XXVI of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, including public and nonprofit private entities; state and local governments; academic institutions; local health departments; nonprofit hospitals and outpatient clinics; and community health centers receiving support under Section 330 of the PHS Act. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply

Who can apply: Eligible applicants for both funding opportunities include any domestic public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. § 450b).See 42 CFR § 51a.3(a). Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations are eligible to apply.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include an accredited school of public health, or another public or nonprofit private entity accredited for the provision of graduate or specialized training in public health. Faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible. In addition to the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau may apply. Tribes and tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible. Foreign entities are not eligible for this HRSA award. Current Regional PHTC award recipients whose awards are scheduled to end on June 30, 2022 are eligible to apply for this funding opportunity and should apply as “Competing Continuations.” All other applicants should apply as “New.”

Who can apply: Eligible organizations include national organizations; state, local, and Indian tribal governments; institutions of higher education; other non-profit organizations (including faith-based, community-based, and tribal organizations); and academic health science centers.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include state governments and accredited schools of medicine in states and jurisdictions. The term “school of medicine” for the purpose of this funding opportunity (and under 42 U.S.C. 300w-9(c) has the same meaning as set forth in  799B(1)(A) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 295p(1)(A)). The term “state” for the purpose of this funding opportunity includes, in addition to the several states, only the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. Per legislation, only three EMSC grant awards per state may be awarded to each state during any fiscal year.

In addition to the 50 U.S. states, organizations in the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated State of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau may apply. The applicant organization may be located in an urban or rural area and should have the staffing and infrastructure necessary to oversee program activities, serve as the fiscal agent for the award, and ensure that local control for the award is vested in the targeted rural communities.

In addition to the 50 U.S. states, organizations in the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated State of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau may apply. Who can apply: Eligible applicants are accredited schools of nursing with advanced education nursing programs. Any school(s) of nursing affiliated with this application must be accredited at the time of application – and for the duration of the award – by a recognized body or bodies, or a State agency, approved by the Secretary of Education for nurse education accreditation. Applicants must submit official documentation of accreditation in Attachment 1 for all affiliated nursing programs. Eligible applicants must be located in the United States, Guam, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau. Tribes and Tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible. Individuals and foreign entities are not eligible under this NOFO.

Who can apply: Eligible entities are domestic public or private non-profit entities, including faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations. Specifically, these organizations may include, but are not limited to: 1) rural hospitals; 2) rural community-based ambulatory patient care centers, including rural health clinics; 3) health centers operated by a tribe or tribal organization, or an urban Indian organization; 4) graduate medical education consortiums, including schools of allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine; and 5) faith-based and community-based organizations.
