A grant is money, property, or direct help we award to a qualified non-federal entity (NFE).
A cooperative agreement is like a grant in that we award money to NFEs. However, we also help with program activities.
Integrated Maternal Health Services
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include any domestic public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. 5304 (formerly cited as 25 U.S.C. 450b)). See 42 CFR § 51a.3(a). Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations are eligible to apply.
Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Capacity
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include any domestic public or private entity. Domestic faith based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply.
Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Technical Assistance Center
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include any domestic public or private entity. Domestic faith based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply
Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN)
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include States and accredited schools of medicine in States. The terms “accredited” and “school of medicine” for the purpose of this funding opportunity (and under 42 U.S.C. 300w-9(c)) have the same meaning as set forth in section 799B(1)(A) and (E) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 295p(1)(A) and (E)).
Tribes and tribal organizations are not eligible. Pursuant to section 1910(a) of the PHS Act, no more than three awards under this authority may be made in a state (i.e., to a state or a school of medicine in such state). HRSA will not provide funds to more than three award recipients within each state in a given fiscal year. HRSA will make competitive awards under this announcement in accordance with the rank order established by the objective review committee, but if awarding funds to the next ranking applicant would result in a fourth award to any state, HRSA will skip that applicant and make the award to the next eligible applicant, ensuring compliance with this statutory restriction
Comprehensive Systems Integration for Adolescent and Young Adult Health
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include any domestic public or private, non-profit entities, including an Indian Tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. § 5304 (formerly cited as 25 U.S.C. § 45b)). See 42 CFR § 51a.3(a). Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations are also eligible to apply. If funded, for-profit organizations are prohibited from earning profit from the federal award (see 45 CFR § 75.216(b)).
Life Course Translational Research Network (LCT-RN)
Who can apply:
Eligibility is limited to public or non-profit institutions of higher learning and public or private non-profit agencies engaged in research or in programs relating to maternal and child health and/or services for children with special health care needs. See 42 CFR 51a.3(b). Faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.
You are required to submit proof of non-profit status as Attachment 5, if applicable. A foreign applicant will need to be affiliated with a U.S. entity (i.e., university, institution)with a U.S. EIN established and recognized by HRSA to be considered a public or nonprofit institution of higher learning or a public or private nonprofit agency.
Maternal and Child Health Secondary Data Analysis Research (MCH SDAR)
Who can apply:
Eligibility is limited to public or non-profit institutions of higher learning and public or private non-profit agencies engaged in research or in programs relating to maternal and child health and/or services for children with special health care needs. See 42 CFR § 51a.3 (b). Faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.
National Center for Newborn Screening System Excellence (NBS Excel)
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include: a state or a political subdivision of a state; a consortium of two or more states or political subdivision of states; a territory; a health facility or program operated by or pursuant to a contract with or grant from the Indian Health Services; or any other entity with appropriate expertise in NBS as determined by the Secretary. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply.
Autism Secondary Data Analysis Research (Autism SDAR)
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include any public or private entity, including research centers or networks. Faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply. You are required to submit proof of non-profit status as Attachment 5. A foreign applicant will need to be affiliated with a U.S. entity (i.e., university, institution) with a U.S. EIN established and recognized by HRSA to be considered a public or nonprofit institution of higher learning or a public or private nonprofit agency.
