Goal 1: Improve pediatric disaster preparedness: Help communities plan for emergencies and disasters which impact the health of children, in partnership with children's hospitals, community hospitals, primary care providers, schools, and childcare centers. Goal 2: Increase Pediatric Readiness of hospital emergency departments (ED) and emergency medical services (EMS) agencies, especially in rural, remote, and tribal areas by: Including the care of children in disaster drills, Improving access to behavioral health resources in a disaster or emergency, Strengthening care for children with special health care needs and chronic illnesses during emergencies and infectious disease outbreaks. Goal 3: Promote collaboration with communities: Co-create emergency plans and guidance with youth, families, and community-based organizations.Goal 4: Expand telehealth systems: Use telemedicine to improve pediatric care in rural and remote areas during emergencies. Goal 5: Apply evidence in real-time: Support research-informed pediatric care during emergencies.
