Who can apply: Eligible applicants include accredited schools of nursing, nursing centers, academic health centers, state or local governments, and other public or private nonprofit entities determined appropriate by the Secretary. Domestic community-based organizations, Tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply, if otherwise eligible. Individuals and foreign entities are not eligible applicants under this NOFO. Applicants must be accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs at the time of application, and for the duration of the award.

Who can apply: Eligibility is limited to public or nonprofit institutions of higher learning and public or private nonprofit agencies engaged in research or in programs relating to maternal and child health and/or services for children with special health care needs. See 42 CFR § 51a.3(b). Faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply. You are required to submit proof of non-profit status as Attachment 5. A foreign applicant will need to be affiliated with, and a sub-awardee, of a U.S. entity (e.g., university, institution) with a U.S. EIN established and recognized by HRSA to be considered a public or nonprofit institution of higher learning or a public or private nonprofit agency.

*“Domestic” means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Specifically, these organizations may include, but are not limited to: 1) rural hospitals; 2) rural community-based ambulatory patient care centers, including Rural Health Clinics; 3) health centers operated by a tribe or tribal organization, or an urban Indian organization; 4) graduate medical education consortiums, including institutions of higher education, such as, schools of allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine or Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); and 5) faith-based and community-based organizations.

Who can apply: Any domestic public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. § 5304 (formerly cited as 25 U.S.C. § 450b)), is eligible to apply. See 42 CFR § 51a.3(a). Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations are eligible to apply.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include all domestic public or private, non-profit or for-profit entities, including community-based organizations, federally recognized tribes, tribal organizations, state, local and territorial governments, and institutions of higher education.

Who can apply: Eligible organizations may include national organizations; state, territorial, local, and Indian tribal governments; institutions of higher education; other non-profit organizations (including faith-based, community-based, and tribal organizations); and academic health science centers. Applicants have the option to submit proposals with collaborating organizations if the partnership enhances the approach, capability and reach of the cooperative agreement.
