What a grant does
It funds ideas and projects that serve the public. We give grants to educational and community groups. This helps them solve a need in their area.
Rural Hospital Provider Assistance Program
only small hospitals are eligible for funding that meet the following criteria: 1) no more than 50 inpatient beds and 2) wage index value of less than 0.90
MCHB Place Holder for TBD programs
All domestic public or private, non-profit, and for-profit, entities are eligible to apply. "Domestic" means the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau.

These types of domestic* organizations may apply:
- State governor-designated entities such as:
- The office of the state dental director.
- State-run university or dental school.
- State or special district government, including the District of Columbia, domestic territories, and freely associated states.
We encourage states to work with tribal entities to facilitate greater coordination between states and tribal governments. We will only accept one application per state. All states are eligible to apply. If you are a current recipient with a period of performance ending on August 31, 2026, you are eligible to apply.
