What is the program?
The NEPQR-SET program aims to enhance nurse education and strengthen the nursing workforce.
The program will do this by expanding experiential learning opportunities. This includes the use of simulation-based technology, including equipment, to advance the health of patients, families, and communities in rural and medically underserved areas experiencing diseases and conditions that affect public health such as:
- High burden of stroke
- Heart disease
- Behavioral and mental health
- Maternal mortality
- HIV/AIDS
- Obesity
Are you eligible?
Eligible applicants include accredited schools of nursing, health care facilities, or a partnership of such a school and facility.
Schools of nursing affiliated with the proposed project must be accredited public or private schools.
Applicants must provide documentation of current accreditation by a recognized body or bodies or by a state agency approved for such purpose by the U.S. Department of Education as Attachment 5.
In addition to the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau may apply.
Tribes and tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible.
Foreign entities are not eligible for this HRSA award.
