Who can apply: Eligible applicant organizations include domestic accredited schools of dentistry, public or private nonprofit hospitals, or public or private nonprofit entities which the Secretary has determined are capable of carrying out such grant or contract such as an academic health center which holds its own accreditation for a primary care dental residency program. See 42 U.S.C. § 293k-2(a)(1) (Section 748(a)(1) of the Public Health Service Act). Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations federally recognized Indian tribes and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply, if otherwise eligible. The applicant institutions must be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) at the time of this application. HRSA will check the CODA website for accreditation confirmation.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include only Governor-designated, State government entities, such as the office of State’s dental director or a State-run university or dental school. In additional to the 50 States, eligible applicants include the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, America Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Private institutions are not eligible to apply. States are encouraged to work with tribal entities to facility greater consultation and coordination between State and tribal governments. All applications submitted by any State-governmental entity other than the office/division housing the State dental director (such as a State-run university of dental school) MUST include a letter of support in Attachment 9 from either the Governor or the State’s dental director that specifically endorses the applicant as the State’s sole designated representative to apply for these federal dollars on the State’s behalf. Such applicants must coordinate with the office/division housing the State dental director as only one application per State will be accepted. The letter must detail how the State’s dental director will be actively involved in the project, include the State’s investment of resources to the project and any planned coordination activities at the State level, and these must be included in the application. Applications from State government entities, other than the office/division housing the State dental director, that do not contain this letter WILL NOT be considered for funding. An application submitted by the State governmental office/division housing the State dental director does not need to include a letter of support from the Governor. For States without an official oral health program or without a State-level oral health leadership position, the eligible entity to apply on the State’s behalf would include the individual or entity within the State government that holds the primary responsibility for the State’s dental workforce. Who can apply: Eligible applicants include accredited schools of dentistry or dental hygiene, public or private nonprofits hospitals, or other public or private nonprofit entities which the Secretary of Education has determined are capable of carrying out such grants to plan, develop, and operate an approved professional training program in the field of general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, public health dentistry for dental students, dental hygienists, or other approved primary care trainees such as dental therapists that emphasizes training for public health dentistry. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, community colleges, as well as Tribes and Tribal organizations, are eligible to apply provided they are capable of carrying out grants to plan, develop, and operate an approved professional training program in the field of general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, public health dentistry for dental hygiene students, or dental hygienists, or other approved primary care dental trainees as defined in the NOFO. All training activities must be conducted by an accredited entity. Programs in the process of receiving accreditation may apply however; the applicant or partner organization(s) must be accredited by the Secretary of Education or by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Applicants can propose to develop an accredited program; however, the applicant organization responsible for the training must be an accredited program by July 1, 2023. HRSA will check the CODA website for accreditation confirmation. Accreditation must be maintained throughout the remainder of the project period. Failure to maintain accreditation will result in the termination of award funding under this NOFO.

Who can apply: For the purpose of this NOFO, eligible applicants are accredited allopathic schools of medicine, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and graduate programs in behavioral or mental health that meet the requirements of Section 736(c) of the PHS Act. The four designated Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) listed in Section 736(c)(2) are not eligible for this NOFO; they are eligible to compete under a separate funding announcement to be issued in FY 2023. Other HBCUs not listed in Section 736(c)(2) are eligible to compete for this NOFO under the “Other COE” designation

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include an accredited school of public health, or another public or nonprofit private entity accredited for the provision of graduate or specialized training in public health. Faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible. In addition to the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau may apply. Tribes and tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible. Foreign entities are not eligible for this HRSA award. Current Regional PHTC award recipients whose awards are scheduled to end on June 30, 2022 are eligible to apply for this funding opportunity and should apply as “Competing Continuations.” All other applicants should apply as “New.”

Who can apply: Eligible applicants are accredited schools of nursing with advanced education nursing programs. Any school(s) of nursing affiliated with this application must be accredited at the time of application – and for the duration of the award – by a recognized body or bodies, or a State agency, approved by the Secretary of Education for nurse education accreditation. Applicants must submit official documentation of accreditation in Attachment 1 for all affiliated nursing programs. Eligible applicants must be located in the United States, Guam, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau. Tribes and Tribal organizations may apply for these funds, if otherwise eligible. Individuals and foreign entities are not eligible under this NOFO.

Who can apply: Eligible entities are academically-affiliated physician assistant training programs accredited by the ARC-PA.

Who can apply: Eligible entities are APA-accredited doctoral, internship, and post-doctoral residency programs of health service psychology (including clinical psychology, counseling, and school psychology) and Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS)-accredited doctoral level schools of psychology. Note: Individuals are not eligible to apply under this NOFO. In addition to the fifty (50) states, eligible entities include the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply, if otherwise eligible. Current GPE award recipients whose grants are scheduled to end on August 31, 2022 are eligible to apply for this funding opportunity and should apply as “Competing Continuations.” All other applicants should apply as “New.” If funded, for-profit organizations are prohibited from earning profit from the federal award (45 CFR part 75.216(b)).

Who can apply: Eligible applicants are entities that provide health care, including health care providers associations, and FQHCs.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include the following: Health professions schools, academic health centers, state or local governments, Indian tribes and tribal organizations, or other appropriate public or private nonprofit entities (or consortia of such entities, including entities promoting multidisciplinary approaches). Individuals are not eligible to apply under this NOFO. In addition to the 50 states, eligible entities may be located in the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.
