Maternity Care Nursing Workforce Expansion (MatCare) Program

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include accredited schools of nursing, nursing centers, academic health centers, state or local governments, and other public or private nonprofit entities determined appropriate by the Secretary, such as HRSA supported health centers or Rural Health Clinics. Eligible applicants located in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau, may apply for these funds. Domestic community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply, if otherwise eligible. Under an academic-clinical partnership, either partner may apply under this NOFO, provided the applicant is an eligible entity. Only one of the partners may apply and be awarded. Individuals and for-profit entities are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.

Public Health Scholarship Program

Who can apply: Eligible entities for the PHSP are: (A) a health professions school, including an accredited school or program of public health, health administration, preventive medicine, or dental public health or a school providing health management programs; (B) an academic health center; (C) a State or local government; or (D) any other appropriate public or private nonprofit entity. Eligible applicants include domestic public or private nonprofit entities. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply, if otherwise eligible. Applicants must provide a statement as Attachment 9, documenting justification of their eligibility and ability to carry out the scope of work of this NOFO.
