Who can apply: If otherwise eligible, the following types of domestic* organizations may apply. •Public health professions schools •Non-profit private health professions schools •Non-profit health professions schools having a 501(c)(3) IRS status •Non-profit health professions schools with an IRS status other than 501(c)(3) •For-profit nursing and physician assistant schools •Native American tribal governments •Native American tribal organizations “Domestic” means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Individuals are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include accredited schools of nursing, nursing centers, academic health centers, state or local governments, and other public or private nonprofit entities determined appropriate by the Secretary, such as HRSA supported health centers or Rural Health Clinics. Eligible applicants located in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau, may apply for these funds. Domestic community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply, if otherwise eligible. Under an academic-clinical partnership, either partner may apply under this NOFO, provided the applicant is an eligible entity. Only one of the partners may apply and be awarded. Individuals and for-profit entities are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.

Who can apply: Eligible entities for the PHSP are: (A) a health professions school, including an accredited school or program of public health, health administration, preventive medicine, or dental public health or a school providing health management programs; (B) an academic health center; (C) a State or local government; or (D) any other appropriate public or private nonprofit entity. Eligible applicants include domestic public or private nonprofit entities. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply, if otherwise eligible. Applicants must provide a statement as Attachment 9, documenting justification of their eligibility and ability to carry out the scope of work of this NOFO.

Who can apply: Eligibility for this funding opportunity is limited to POL, as designated in the NHHCIA, as amended [42 USC 11709(a)].
