Opioid Response

The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) funds a variety of grant programs each year. Each aims to prevent or treat opioid use disorder (OUD) for people in rural areas.

How we help rural communities

You can apply for funding if you are a:

  • Public, private, non-profit, or for-profit entity in the United States
  • Faith- or community-based group
  • Tribe the federal government recognizes

Note: Please refer to each Notice of Funding Opportunity for specific eligibility information.

Why we focus on rural areas

Death rates from substance use disorder (SUD) and OUD are higher in rural areas. People in rural areas have a hard time getting care and treatment.
